I originally bought this game for the ps3 than found out some friends of mine had it for pc. Getting everything setup on pc, ie my G27 wheel and pedals was a bit of a hassle. The pc version is not as intuitive as it is for console. Otherwise the game thinks you’re using a keyboard. Silly aint it??? Once I worked out the kinks and got to racing, I started having a blast.
Graphics are definitely better on pc, but ps3 isn’t bad either. I got one stutter in Singapore my first night trying it out on pc and read the fix for it is setting your replay cache file to read only. Codemaster’s really dropped the ball on their manual.. Sorry, but as a gamer I want to game. Not spend half the night scouring the internet looking for answers.
I do not like the Windows Live setup you are forced to go through. Everytime you create and save a car setup, you have to do it through Windows Live. I was also, ‘assigned’, my gamertag and if I want to change it I have to spend money. Microsoft just plain sucks as they take greed to a whole new level.
Anyway – if you enjoy F1 racing, pick this game up for any of the available platforms. I have recently become a fan of F1 racing and I have always enjoyed racing games. I bought this game hoping it would be as fun as it looked and IT IS! This is a fantastic game! The graphics are just great and the detail on the cars, tracks, sounds etc. If you are a fan of F1 racing and enjoy PC gaming, this is a must to add to your library!
This is a very buggy game. Lots of issues just trying to install the program. The game worked for about one month then it would not load until it was updated. When tying to update the newer version would not load. I even tried to do a manual download and no luck. Lots of Emails to Codemaster for help and no replies, I even went on different forums tying to find a fix and the same problem was happening to other people with no fix.
Better than the version and in some respects better than the model. The interface on this is more interesting than the version really immersive. The weather, updated tracks and driving physics better on the More helment choices on the version, but why can’t you design your own?
The camera replay weak on all versions. Fun though. One person found this helpful. The game works great once loaded. But the Manual realy stinks. Its like alot of other online game now a days. It took almost 1 hr after loading it to take my frist lap. I gave this game a 2 because of the manual. If you need to know any thing you have to goto the fourm and hope theres some one there that really knows and hope you dont not gets smart remarks that dont help.
And you due have to set up i Acc. It did get shiped on time and got here on time so that is one good thing. I found out, that I could get the best graphics with the best card I could afford to put in my computer!!!
